This project aims to tackle HIV/AIDS challenges in an Anglophone group where two-thirds of the population are unaware of their status and myths about transmission exist. High STI rates and issues like forced and transactional sex need attention. Prioritized sectors include education, healthcare, and community services. Data from surveys and service records will inform interventions.

Identification of Problems • Two-thirds of population do not know their status • Unknown mode of transmission among 40 percent of reported male cases • High STIs among majority of population • Big number of pediatric cases ie PMTMC not effective • Myths and homophobia about HIV/AIDS • Forced and transactional Sex particularly among girls within the 15-24 year group • High number of orphans
Priotised Sectors, Outcomes and Indicators (1) • MOE – Increased knowledge among students, school community - Indicator: % of students who know two modes of HIV transmission correctly • MOH – Increased Uptake of VCT, ART - Indicator: Proportion of people who know their serostatus
