  2. Boston Marathon On the site Reddit, as the search for the Boston Bombing suspect was taking place. Because of unchecked facts, a manhunt for the wrong man - who eventually wound up being found dead from an apparent suicide - began. Though many argue that it was not Reddit's fault, the wrongfully accused had been missing for a few days prior to the bombing, it was still poor form on the part of users and is not something that should be blown off.
