  2. What is psychology? • Psychology: The study of the human mind and behavior. • There are many areas in which you can narrow your field here are a few: • Applied Psychology • Research Psychology • Mental Health Psychology

  3. How you can use this degree • Work with a non-profit • Work for the government • Become a professor • Counseling • Conduct research

  4. Requirements • To become a Researched Based Psychologist most states require you to obtain a PhD. • While in school you are required to write a dissertation paper in which you narrow your field of interest. Most universities require that you do this under the supervision of a professor. Your dissertation paper is reviewed by a board of Psychologists before you can graduate.

  5. What I Plan on doing I plan to enter this field because Ienjoy conducting experiments in labs and searching for the reasoning behind things. Today I have become fascinated with one of the most elaborate things on earth, the human mind. Because of this, I would like to Major in research based psychology with a particular concentration on the area of human behavior.

  6. TO conduct my Own Experiment.. The Strooptest is a test of our mental vitality and flexibility. The effect is related to the ability of most people to read words more quickly and automatically than they can name colors. This experiment was first tested in Dr. John Stoops dissertation research paper in 1935
