  3. Vocabulary! Biome- A large area that has a major habitat.

  4. The Climate Annual Rainfall: 6-10 inches a year Seasonal temperatures: Summer- 37-60° F Winter: -94° F Spring and fall: -18° F

  5. Vocabulary Producer (Autotroph)- An organism that makes its own food.

  6. Vocabulary Consumer (Herbivore)- An organism that has to find it’s own food. Herbivore- An organism that only eats plants Carnivore- An organism that only eats meat Omnivore- An organism that eats both plants and animals

  7. Vocabulary Decomposers- An organism that breaks down dead plants and animals

  8. Vocabulary • Food Chain- organisms that are dependent on the next as a source of food The grass The lemming Feeds the feeds the fox lemming

  10. Interesting facts The tundra has only one tree that grows there, called the dwarf willow During the summer, the sun shines all the time, even at midnight
