  2. Computational tools • 3D numerical methods that can handle calculations up to a frequency of at least 0.5 Hz for large (very large! teleseismic) epicentral distances. • 3D migration methods.

Suggestions on CIG goals • Short-term: standardized current analytic (GRT, FK, WKB) and numerical methods (FD, Spectral). • Long-term: Modules for numerical algorithms – would allow developments of various hybrid methods. Modules for some standardized algorithms in migration. Models and synthetic sets that would allow benchmark of new methods.
