Baseline Request • State Highway Fund – hold level of appropriation to other agencies flat and request remaining amount for TxDOT • General Revenue – request required amount of debt service for Prop 12 bonds that have already been issued and continuation of baseline amounts from FY 2012-13 Work with others to provide safe and reliable transportation solutions for Texas.

  3. Exceptional Item Requests • State Highway Fund - show additional areas that could be addressed with the amount of appropriation to other agencies • Federal Reimbursements - reflect uncertainty of federal aid highway program and show where additional federal funds, and required state match, could be utilized if Congress acts • General Revenue • Amount of debt service required for additional Prop 12 bond issuances • Additional amounts requested for Public Transportation and Rail Work with others to provide safe and reliable transportation solutions for Texas.

  4. Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Allocations Work with others to provide safe and reliable transportation solutions for Texas.

  5. Capital Budget Items • Information Technology – outdated IT systems have restricted the Department’s ability to respond to stakeholders and internal decision makers • Equipment – in many cases employees’ effectiveness is negatively impacted as they are working with outdated equipment that requires a great deal of down time and maintenance expenditures • Facilities – after years of postponing needed repairs, there are a number of needs that should be addressed before the working conditions become unsafe. Work with others to provide safe and reliable transportation solutions for Texas.
