  2. Disney World • This article focuses on WaltDisneyWorld, located near Orlando, Florida, which is perhaps the most recognizable theme park in the world. After creating the Disneyland theme park in California in 1955, filmmaker WaltDisney was hesitant to establish another park. It wasn't until his involvement in building attractions for the 1964 New York World's Fair that he became aware of the new technological innovations that could be used in the creation of theme park attractions.
