  3. 7th and 8th Grade Career Awareness • 7th/8th grade career exploration • Career Camp with CCOC – 7 years • High school credit for A+ (IT Essentials) course • Opportunity to learn from older students and adults (cross-age) • Smooth into new Cisco Discovery class (day class at Santa Clara High)

GoalsCareer Exploration • To implement a well rounded program that supports career exploration for 7th and 8th grade students. • To expand the understanding of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications in all industry sectors. • To expand middle school students’ knowledge of career options and courses in the high school, adult education, community college and ROCP in the ICT pathway

  6. Camp ~ Connecting the Dots • Incoming 7th and 8th graders • Full Week ~ 8 – 1pm on 3 days, 2 long days as well. Week includes: industry visit, community college visit, 3 days of “hands on” projects at ROP location • 100 students and MANY adults • Transportation, snacks, graduation, camp video, t-shirts, take home project everyday – all paid for via the SB70 grant • Cost to student: $10.00
