  2. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, Ephesians 4:1-2 ESV)

  3. There is a Difference Between Worthy and Unworthy Walking Worthy… deserving, suitable, comparable to the claim Calling… a vocation, life’s work

  4. Colossians 1:10 • …so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

  5. Walk with “All” Humility • Best definition was being equal • Jesus changed the term from being equal to putting others first

  6. 1 Peter 5:5-6 • You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. • 6.  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

  7. Walk with “All” Humility • Best definition was being equal • Jesus changed the term from being equal to putting others first “ALL” humility implies humility toward God as well as man, and toward His word.

  8. Walk with Gentleness Gentleness/meekness… mildness, kindness, strength under control

  9. Walk with Gentleness Toward Men?!? • Gal. 5:23- a fruit of the Spirit • Gal. 6:1- a way of dealing with others

  10. 1 Timothy 6:11 • But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.
