  3. THE ROUND HOUSE • This is the first hut we built. • The roof is a reciprocal beam design. • Walls include a cord wood wall with a pentagonal window, a straw-bale wall and a wall made with bamboo canes.

  6. Interior • The interior view of the roof shows the ridge and A-frame construction. This is overlaid with pallet-wood and a screen of chicken wire.

  8. The Three Year Retreat The inside is the size of a medium touring caravan and is ideal for a solitary meditator

  10. Finishing Details An alcove with a slab of marble, ideal for keeping food cool. An alcove lined with mirror pieces, designed to be used as a candle stand, reflecting light into the room. A window sill with tiles A simple design feature made with a spiral of copper-bar and a glass bead An alcove cut into the straw-bale and shaped with a sanding tool
