  3. S.P.E.E.D. MISSION: To provide students with best prevention tools possible to deal with destructive decisions.

  4. 4 Main Components

  5. Texting and Driving PUT IT DOWN! Active focus on driving without cell phone use.

  6. Texting and Driving PUT IT DOWN! Campaign uses peer to peer intervention.

  8. Alcohol STAYING FREE OF ALCOHOL Use positive peer pressure to promote good decision making

  9. Alcohol STAYING FREE OF ALCOHOL Peer to peer discussion MUST be judgment free

  10. Violence YOUTH VIOLENCE BEHAVIORS: Bullying Fights Gang violence

  11. Violence YOUTH VIOLENCE PREVENTION: Expand social groups to include diversity Learn to compromise Initiate a conflict resolution program at school

  12. Drugs ANY SUBSTANCE ABUSE: Including marijuana, inhalants, meth, prescription drugs

  13. Drugs WARNING: Any substance abuse can affect your judgment, drain your motivation, or make you feel anxious
