  2. Study in canada The majority of education in Canada is publicly funded and regulated by local, provincial, and territorial governments. The province is in charge of regulating the curriculum and has jurisdiction over education. In Canada, primary education is often separated from secondary education and post-secondary education. District school boards in the provinces under the ministry of education are in charge of overseeing the educational initiatives.

International students in Canada International students are present at all educational levels, including primary, secondary, trade, and college and university (post-secondary), with the biggest number being at the latter level, according to the International Education Strategy released by the Government of Canada. From 2015 to 2018, enrollment grew steadily across the board, with college enrollment seeing the most increase. A commitment to diversify inbound students and spread them out more evenly around the nation rather than having a significant concentration in a few places is made in the International Education Strategy for the years 2019–2024.
