  12. WHICH DO YOU HAVE? • An Entrepreneurship or Placement application • If student has both an Entrepreneurship and Placement SAE, decide which area they stronger in. Example: Work for a Turf Grass contractor as a placement but have started to add a few customers in entrepreneurship • Apply as a Placement area • Can include information on your goals, resume, personal page about your Entrepreneurship which will show progress in your career goal • Otherwise, it confuses judges when putting both areas on one application.

  13. 2006 and Beyond Updates AM I ELIGIBLE? • Can you apply in an placement award area if you’ve already applied in Entrepreneurship and won? For example: Beef Production is a split area. • An FFA member is eligible for a placement proficiency award if the student’s work experience is on the family farm, family corporation and/or other partnership. • In NO case shall a member be eligible for recognition in both categories in any area for the same SAE program and site.

  15. 2006 and Beyond Changes DUAL PARTICIPATION (continued) • Under NO circumstances will the accommodation impact the published schedule, overall integrity of the event or other participants’ ability to be fairly evaluated. • In some cases due to published schedule no accommodations will be made. • In those cases the participant will need to choose which area to participate in and, where appropriate, the state staff may choose to certify a second place team or a replacement member. • This policy does not supersede existing event policies that restrict multiple participation.
