COMPETITIVE GRANT PROCESS

  • The program office discusses procurement needs with the Office of Procurement Services.

  • The Solicitation for Cooperative Agreement Application (SGA) is developed and includes evaluation criteria.

  • SGA availability is announced through Grants.gov.

  • Applicants submit proposals by due date.

  • Proposals are reviewed by Office of Procurement Services to determine if they are fully responsive and can be considered for an award.

  • Responsive proposals are forwarded to the Evaluation Panel for review.

  • Evaluation Panel reviews and scores the proposals according to the evaluation criteria in the SGA.

  • Evaluation Panel makes the recommendation to the Office of Procurement Services (OPS) Grant Officer.

  • Successful Applicants are notified.

  • Unsuccessful applicants are notified and debriefed (upon request).

  • Cooperative Agreements are developed by OCFT & OPS.

  • All awards are completed prior to September 30, 2009.

  • All Interested applicants must complete the Grants.gov registration process at www.grants.gov.

  • The registration process can take three-five business days or as long as three weeks.

  • Please register early.

  • Download, complete and submit a Grant Application Package

  • Applications MUST be received by the due date noted on the SGA

  • Tracking number is issued once application is submitted.

  • Applications may be rejected due to errors.
