MLA Format - Electronic Databases • Entry for an Information Database Journal Article • This entry includes six main divisions: • Author’s name • Title of article • Title of journal followed by volume, issue, year, and pages • Name of Database • Electronic publisher or service for the Database (if provided) • Name and location of subscribing library • Access date and URL • For example: • Chatterjee, Bela. “Cyberpornography, Cyberidentities and Law.” • International Review of Law, Computers and Technology 14.1 • (2000): 89-93. MasterFILE Premier. Ebsco. L.A. Mission • College Lib., Sylmar. 13 Feb. 2001 <http://www.proquest.com>.

Author’s Name • Type the author’s last name first (comma) and then the rest of the name and end with a period. • Chatterjee, Bela. • Title of article • Type the title of the article in quotations using title case and end with a period inside the quotations. • “Cyberpornography, Cyberidentities and Law.” • Title of journal and volume, issue, year, and pages • Type the title of the journal underlined or italicized using title case followed by volume and issue • and the year in parentheses (colon) then page numbers and end with a period. • International Review of Law, Computers and Technology 14.1 (2000): 89-93. • Name of database and Section of database • Type the name of the database underlined or italicized (period) then the section (period) • MasterFILE Premier. Ebsco. • Name and Location of subscribing Library • Type the name of the college library (abbreviate Lib.)(comma) then the city (period) • L.A.
