If the new president and Congress decide to take on health care reform, how important is each of the following as a goal of any health care reform plan?

When forced to choose, percent who say each is the MOST important*

Percent who say each is “very important”

Making health care and health insurance more affordable

Finding a way to provide health insurance coverage to most Americans

Reforming the existing health care system to provide higher quality, more cost-effective care

*Note: Includes those who said only one factor was “very important.”“Combination/All of these,” “Other/None of these,” and “Don’t know/Refused” responses not shown.
