Our Strength Comes from Our Members By joining KSYSA, you are joining a family—A local, state, and national group that supports all members and provides them a wide variety of services and benefits. “The purpose of Kansas Youth Soccer is to promote, foster, and perpetuate the game of soccer throughout the state of Kansas.”
Risk Management Kidsafe Program • Nationally recognized advice for establishing policies, procedures, and governing operations • Training from nationally recognized experts on child abuse and risk management Criminal Background Search • All registered coaches, assistant coaches, and team officials who work directly with kids are checked bi-annually against national criminal databases and sex offender registries.
Risk Management Child Safety and Club Support • Goal post safety and anchoring procedures to reduce the potential for goal post failure or tipping • Procedures for sexual misconduct complaints • Crisis management procedures for managing media access during an investigation or claim, including press conferences and/or releases and coordination with police and other official news releases • Safeguarding club financials using security measures and insurance

Member Programs Olympic Development Program • 600 of the state’s most talented 12-17 year olds • Participation in numerous high level tournaments and events including Regional Championships and Regional Camp • Access/Consideration for Regional and National youth teams • Per capita Kansas has one of the highest percentages of players making the Regional Pool • 90% receive college scholarships • Scholarship programs available based on financial need

Member Programs Kansas State Cup/US Youth Soccer National Championship Series • Club teams in the state compete in the U12-U19 age divisions for the title of State Cup Champion • Kansas State Cup Champions (U13 – U19) advance to the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Tournament to compete against the state champions of the other thirteen states in Region II • Region II Champions advance to the National Championships, the most prestigious youth tournament in the country Toyota Cup • Part of the Kansas State Championship series. Similar to the Kansas State Cup open to all classic leve teams.
Member Programs Kohl’s American Cup • Provides recreational youth soccer players an opportunity to experience a consistent and high quality statewide tournament in a fun, festival-like atmosphere. • Fosters stimulation and excitement about soccer to increase the recreational player's interest in and love for the game. • Provides recreational players with the opportunity to participate in an original event outside of their normal league play • A tool to use in increasing membership enrollment.

Insurance Participant Accident Benefit • Up to $200,000 • Provided for all participants, coaches, managers, volunteer workers, and staff members while participating in sponsored and supervised athletic activities General Liability Protection Program • Coverage for for sanctioned events that are requested and approved by the state association for which a certificate of insurance has been issued • Each occurance limit -- $1,000,000 • General aggregate limit -- $5,000,000 • Field and facility liability coverage available
Insurance Coverage Includes Suits Arising Out Of: • Injury or death of participants • Injury or death of spectators • Injury or death of volunteers • Property damage liability • Incidental medical malpractice • All activities necessary to conduct of a sanctioned event • General negligence claims • Cost of investigation and defense of claims, even if groundless Clubs are Named insured, not Additional insured
