2008 CMAS Conference Poster Session

This poster discusses an analysis of the impact of MM5 and WRF meteorology on CMAQ model predictions. It also evaluates CMAQ estimates of O3, NO, CO, and PM2.5 at Canadian monitor locations and compares model-predicted VOC concentrations with measurements. Additionally, the poster explores probabilistic estimates of ozone concentrations from an ensemble of CMAQ simulations, assesses the WRF-ARW version 3.0 using the Atmospheric Model Evaluation Tool, and analyzes multi-year changes in modeled and observed NOx concentrations. The modeling of dust and soluble iron deposition to the Southern Ocean using GEOS-Chem is examined, as well as the simulation of aerosol mass and size distributions over California using CMAQ-MADRID. The study of mercury transportation over the Pacific, visualization of 3-dimensional model mixing volume heights for CMAQ and CAMx, and the impact of emission sources upwind of Hong Kong on local air quality are also addressed. Furthermore, the application of OMI ozone profiles in CMAQ and the utilization of a 3-D photochemical model (CAMx) in multi-processor cluster (MPI) and shared-memory (Open-MP) computing environments are discussed.
