Patrick Burns, a former Presiding Judge in the Auburn Municipal Court, WA has been a leader in therapeutic courts such as mental health court, drug court, veterans court, etc. and alternatives to jails. From 1983 to 1995, he has been a respectable Auburn City Council member. During his tenure ship as a council member, he was also running his private practice the city. While serving as an independent lawyer, he helped a multitude of people in Auburn, WA through his incomparable and unsurpassed advocacy. He ran his private practice successfully from 1978 to 1998, i.e. for two decades, and over these years, he handled cases related to Criminal Defense, Family Law, Civil Litigation, etc.

  3. Presently, he works as a Pro-Tem Judicial Officer in Kent and Kirkland Municipal Courts. Being the Judicial Officer, he is responsible for facilitating, arbitrating, presiding over, and making decisions for the application of the law. Other than this, he is linked to a range of well-known organizations. He is associated with the South King County Bar Association Board, DMCJA Legislative Committee, DMCJA Salary and Benefits Committee, and Washington State Therapeutic Courts Committee.
