  9. The threefold embarrasment:To rotate the spin we:built a solenoid (GE)built a rectifier supply (NJ)saturable reactor (PA) controlALL FAILED!(Ed had to wait 6 months!)

  10. Ed may remember ... Others always thought the Harvard total cross sections were too high!Now the best phase shifts give the solid line and the HCL results were too low!

  12. At Rochester Peter Koehler and Thorndike were the first to see nucleon nucleon bremstrahlungBut Gottschalk and Shlaer were the first to publish(I had seen nucleon-nucleus bremstrahlung in Rochester in 1955)

  13. But Ed could not get away from me easily.....We worked together on CLEO at the Cornell e+/e- collider CESR for 20 years. Others will tell that story and I will shut up.
