WHAT DO WE DO? • Annual Conference • Dry Run for College Admission Counselors • Faculty members • Summer Seminar for Secondary School Counselors • Sweet Tea Tour • Drive In Workshops • Extending the Dream Grants • Mini Camp College • Government Relations and Legislative Days • Mentorship Programs

  6. What we wish we knew 1. Take notes and share with your leadership team when you return, especially to those that are paying for you to attend.

  7. What we wish we knew 2. Get out and meet people—Don’t stay in your room!

  8. What we wish we knew • Your network is your net worth—Exchange Business Cards

  9. What we wish we knew 4. If you attend a session and quickly realize this session doesn’t meet your needs, it is ok to leave and find another session.

  10. What we wish we knew 5. Meet Vendors and see what services they offer.

  11. What we wish we knew 6. If you came with a group from your institution, divide and conquer.

  12. What we wish we knew 7. After a session, feel free to follow up with the presenters for additional questions.

  13. What we wish we knew 8. When deciding on a session to attend, make sure you look at the topic AND the types of Institutions they represent to see if it will be applicable to you and your institution.
