  1. Welcome Back 7th Grade Language Arts

  2. Learning is extremely important! • It’s why we’re here. • If you choose to interfere with someone’s learning, there will be consequences, and they won’t be pretty.

  3. Stuff you’ve got to do • Respect yourself. • Respect others. • Bring what you’re supposed to bring. • Do what you’re supposed to do. • It’s that simple.

  4. Supplies for us everyday • 3 ring binder • 3 tab dividers (Reading, Writing, Grammar) • pens and pencils • Loose leaf paper • NO spiral

  5. Procedures • Be in your seat and ready to work. • Copy assignment in assignment book. (This is worth extra credit.) • DOL, vocabulary, or logic activity • Large group and focused instruction. • Group or individual practice. • Assignment or homework.

  6. More stuff • Use the stairs at all times that face the football field. Do NOT use the stairs by our room. • Use the restrooms in the 7th grade area. • Stay out of the 6th and 8th grade area.

  7. LA late work policy • One day late – 10 Call home • Two days late – 20 • Three days late – 30 • Tutoring – 30? • Failure is NOT an option

  8. Lunch detentions • Disrespect or Defiance • Physical Contact • Vandalism • Drop in citizenship letter grade

  9. REWARDSand field trips • Can’t participate if any grade is below an F • If you have ASD or equivalent • If you’ve been suspended or sent home • OR • If you have missing assignments

  10. Nashville Trip and Rewards • 10 tardies = no Nashville trip • Failing in ANY academic class = no Nashville trip • ALP or suspension or sent home = no reward or field trip • Zeros = no reward or filed trip and 3 zeros in a class = ASD • After school detention = no reward or field trip • It’s REALLY fun, so work hard.

  12. Form Party • If you bring in all of your completed forms by 8/30, you’ll get to participate in a reward.

  13. Schedule • Lockers 7:35 – 7:40 • 1st period 7:45 – 9:25 • Related Arts A 9:30 – 10:10 • Related Arts B 10:15 – 10:55 • 2nd period 11:00 – 1:00 • Lunch during 2nd 11:40 – 12:05 • 3rd period 1:05 – 2:40
