  4. Family life in Islam • Islam teaches the importance of the family and the specific roles and responsibilities that different members of the family have.

  5. Family responsibilities • You are each one member of the family. Complete your section of the table on p28 of your worksheet booklet.

  6. Family responsibilities • Now visit other members of the family. They will help you complete the rest of the table on p28 of your worksheet booklet.

  7. Parents One of our jobs as a parent is to make sure our children have a religious upbringing and follow the Qur’an It’s also our job to send our children to the Madrasah to help them learn about Islam

  8. Mother Halal means allowed As a mother, my job is to teach my children about what is haram and what is halal And Haram means not allowed…punk

  9. Father As a father, it is my responsibility to take my sons to the Mosque

  13. Why is family life important? • Use the pictures on the next slide to help you work out why family life is important in Islam. • Write down the headings, with FOUR lines between each one. • Then add the explanations that go with the headings. These are on a separate slide.
