2. The need for SIP • The problem is not a lack of innovation but a lack of diffusion and adoption. • We need to maximise the impact of successful innovations by providing for better discovery of innovation.

Accessing SIP • Beta.socitm.net • Innovation.socitm.net • View with logging in • Set up a profile for adding content and receiving alerts new website new website Innovation Platform Now from the navigation menu select ‘services’ On the services page you should see at the bottom the Innovation platform You are now in the innovation platform and can view everything. Registering will give you the ability to add content Innovation Platform Innovation Platform Innovation Platform Select register and enter your name and email. You will receive an email to verify your user details. Click the login link in the email and the account is activated and loads the profile page You will then have a profile and be able to add content and be alerted to new content

I need some help with this I have a comment to make I have an idea to implement I have completed an innovation I have found a challenge and will add my idea I have an award to give I will browse through the challenges to see if they need my idea Nothing seems to fit my idea I wonder if someone else has thought of this or might be able to help me I will enter appropriate keywords into the search to get a list of showcases & challenges I will post an opinion challenge to see if others think my idea useful I will post a showcase as one to watch I will browse through the relevant categories to see if there are any showcases that are of interest This is what I need. I will offer to co-create a new version I have some funding available I will view the rich media of the showcases to get a quick idea of this showcase I will post a challenge as I need funding/ resources I will contact the owner to discuss I like this It is still ‘one to watch’ and so will offer to participate in this showcase? What approach, resources and skills would be needed to repeat my innovation Did I innovate with any partners? What is my economic sector and organisation I would like some opinion on this Do I need to restrict access to any info?
