UF is committed to providing instruction of the highest quality, opportunities for research and innovation, and co-curricular programs that build students’ capacity for understanding themselves and the world, while fostering their commitment to the service of others locally, nationally and internationally.
UF graduates will be equipped with the skills, abilities, training, and qualities to succeed in increasingly competitive, creative, technological, and global occupations; they will be prepared for graduate training and research; and to assume “the scientific, technological, academic, political, and creative leadership” on the national and international stage.
UF will develop innovative ways to combine educational and research programs that will be a model for large public research universities.
