  4. Languages Spanish - 1st language (90% fluent) English - Common Second Language Local Tribes speak their own language

  5. Description • The largest unit of currency in Panama is the balboa ( B ) of 100 centésimos. There is no paper money in Panama, but American money is accepted. Panama levels of coins of 0.05, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 1 and 5 balboas which are interchangeable with US coins. (or $1 = B 1.00).
