This study focuses on the compatibilization of polystyrene (PS) and polyimide (PI) blends to achieve desirable physical properties. The approach utilizes a PS/PI copolymer with reactive end groups (telechelics) to enhance miscibility. Methods include melt mixing homopolymers with reactive end group polymers, followed by analysis of conversion extent, miscibility, and physical properties through techniques such as Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), and Instron testing.
