  1. L’Epiphanie Étymologie : Épiphanie viens du grec « epiphaneia » qui signifie « manifestation , apparition» .

  2. Aujourd’hui : • De nos jours, l’épiphanie est célébrée le 6 Janvier par tous les chrétiens : Catholiques,Protestants,Orthodoxes et Anglicans. Ce jours là , on mange une galette spéciale nommée : galette des rois.

  3. Légende • Les Chrétiens, les Protestants et les Anglicans fêtent l’arrivé des rois mages à Béthléem. Les rois mages seraient venus d’Orient pour saluer et se prosterner devant Jésus. Ils auraient été guidés par une étoile jusqu’à Jésus. Une fois arrivés ils se présentèrent , le premier roi nommé Melchior offrit de la myrrhe à jésus, le second nommé Balthazar lui offrit de l’or et le dernier nommé Gaspard lui offrit de l’encens. Les Orthodoxes célèbrent aussi le baptême de Jésus.
