Sleepout 2010 Raising money and awareness for destitute asylum seekers November 5th 2010 at the Wellington Church, Through the night from 5pm Please donate atjustgiving.com/starsleepout Hundreds of people in Glasgow face destitution. After fleeing violence in their home country, they have been left on the streets with no support in the UK. These asylum seekers have ended up with the choice of suffering desperate poverty in our city or facing persecution, torture and death in the countries they fled. Families are among those made destitute, some with children who are only 10 months old. The money we raise will go to Positive Action in Housing’s destitution fund which provides basic food and shelter for those who have nowhere else to turn. We will ensure that these individuals can enjoy some of the basic human rights that have been denied to them so far. Come along to show your support! www.paih.org www.starglasgow.wordpress.com
