  4. Prosumer Camera • Generally a 3 chip camera (3 CCDs) • Very good quality • Cost around $2,000

  5. ENG/EFP Camera • Electronic News Gathering/Electronic Field Production • Designed to be carried by the camera operator during field production. Usually powered by a battery

  6. DSLR Camera Digital Single Lens Reflex • These cameras can produce both high quality still photos and high-definition (HDTV) video.

  7. DSLR Advantages • Many lenses and accessories to choose from • Large image sensor for excellent resolution (image sharpness) • Produce video at lower light levels • Manual override for creative control

  8. DSLR Disadvantage • Need a tripod or camera mount • Poor audio quality from built in mic. You need external mic for audio pickup.

  14. Field of View • What is seen through the lens. • Q. How do you change the Field of View? • A. Point your camera somewhere else.

  15. White Balance • The adjustments of color circuits in the camera to produce white color in lighting. • You are telling the camera what color white is.
