  1. Romans 12: Renewing Requires Re-Viewing

  2. 1.Revelation Romans 1v1:Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God. Romans 1v17:For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith…

  3. 2.Depravation Romans 3v9-10:…Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one…” Romans 3v23:For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…

  4. 3.Redemption Romans 3v24:…and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

  5. 4.Propitiation/Substitution Romans 3v25-26:God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement (to be a propitiaiton), through faith in His blood. He did this to demonstrate His justice, because in His forbearance He had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—He did it to demonstrate His justice at the present time, so as to be just and the One Who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

  6. 5.Justification Romans 4v25:He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Romans 5v1: Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God…

  7. 6.Reconciliation Romans 5v10-11:For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now received reconciliation.

  8. 7.Regeneration Romans 6v6, 11:We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with…count yourselves dead to sinbut alive to God in Christ Jesus.

  9. 8.Sanctification Romans 6v12-13:Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin… but rather offer yourselves to God… Romans 8v12-14:Brothers, we have an obligation… (to) put to death the misdeeds of the body… because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God

  10. 9.Adoption Romans 8v15-17:…you receivedthe Spirit of sonship/adoption. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ…

  11. 10.Glorification Romans 8v23, 29:…we ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies… For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son.

  12. 11.Predestination/Election Romans 8v29-30:For those God foreknew He also predestined… And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. Romans 9v11:…in order that God’s purpose in election might stand…

  13. 12. Participation/Cooperation Romans 10v9-13:…if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved… As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.” … for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 11v23:And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

  14. 13.Adoration Romans 11v33, 36:Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and His paths beyond tracing out! For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.

  15. 14.Consecration Romans 12v1:Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

  16. 15.Application Romans Chapters 12-15: How, in practical ways, the Gospel affects our day-to-day living as Members of His Church and Contributors in Our Community.
