It might be significant for thousands of people like inventing something fantastic or starting your own company. It might also be small and ordinary to some, but something that is looked at with awe and admiration to a select, small group. No matter where you come from, no matter how good you have done in school in the past, no matter how much money your family has, there is place for you. You just have to find it! We are LEGEND!

The Classroom Circle • What was the most interesting place you visited this summer? You may answer in one word, or briefly explain your choice. • What is your favorite food. If comfortable, tell use the place/person who makes this food for you. • Lastly, share with the circle the best thing that has happened to you so far while attending your school. What is fun about school? What is a great memory you have while attending school?
Written Reflection- Day 2 • What were some of the main goals and rules for this classroom? • How did you enjoy the circle? What are some positives a circle creates? Were there any responses from other people that you found interesting?
Ice Breaker: Seats! • Comic Strip Craziness! • Each student will choose one comic/cereal box panel from the bag. • Students must then find the three other students with the same comic.
Note to Teachers • Cut out the comic strips. Hand out a PIECE of the strip to each student as they enter the class. • When the time is right, have the student FIND the other 3 people that have their strip! • Challenge the students to put the strip in the correct order! • Once they THINK they have completed the assignment, show them each strip on the projector!
Reflection • When this small task began, you may have thought it was a difficult task; however, you were able to make inferences and use evidence to find your group. Explain the steps and thoughts that led you to finding your partners!
