What’s the Project About? • Project aims to introduce a new model for learning and teaching. • Commission a number of “pathfinder” projects” to apply the model in a number of courses in different subject areas and at different levels and evaluate its impact on staff working practices and the student experience. • Cascade the model to others and over time transforming our learning and teaching practices.

  3. Is Change Needed? Scottish Funding Council View A Practitioner View – (have a look at Liz Foulis’ presentation and video clips!) Tackling the big challenges: Widening access and participation Improving Student Retention and Achievement Meeting diverse student needs Improving Articulation between FE and HE Embedding technology into learning and teaching

  5. Activities to June 06 • Cross- Institutional Projects commissioned in Learner Induction and Lecturer Induction. • TESEP Practitioners – re-designing learning activities • Engagement with the TESEP community of Practice

  6. Things to Discuss! • General comments about TESEP welcome. • Particular comments on: • The TESEP Model • The need to change learning and teaching practices in our institutions • Ideas for new models for learner induction and lecturer induction ( in the context of TESEP).
