  1. Keeping the mind calm and stable In today’s fast paced world, there’s only one thing running faster around than we are. Our mind. The very machine that drives us is the same one that can cause an accident; hence it is very important, especially in today’s day and age to keep the mind calm. Let’s look at a few simple things that we can do to keep it stable and calm. Setting a routine is a good place to start. While some may look at it as a formula for making life boring, setting a simple routine helps the mind be at peace as there are fewer decisions to make during the day. This routine does not have to be written down to the minute, a list of things you have to do with a ballpark idea of how much time you have to spend on them suffices just fine. A few things one can include in this routine are Meditation, Exercising and keeping a journal. Practicing meditation for just a few minutes a day can free up mental space to a great extent. Meditating right after waking up- looking forward to the day and creating a positive outlook, and right before sleep, looking back with gratitude to balance the tunnel vision of negativity we usually form. It is widely known that physical exercise does have a positive impact on our mental health. Light exercises each day for as little as 10-15 minutes help release endorphins which are pain killing chemicals. This helps in creating a state of physical and mental peace and helps with better sleep. Finally keeping a journal helps us channelize what we really feel. It has a similar effect as talking about the issues to another person, but in a safer and more private space. Experiment with these and a few different hobbies. Mix up different activities and find what suits you the best. A peaceful lifestyle might just be a routine awa
