  2. Where Is Allentown? Allentown is located in Eastern Pennsylvania in a small metro area known as the Lehigh Valley. Allentown has never been an Olympic Host!

  3. Hotels Hotel Bethlehem- A Historic Hotel • There are more than 60 hotels in the Allentown area listed on the Discover Lehigh Valley Website • There are also many RV parks and campgrounds where visitors could say • More hotels could be built in the area and would be utilized after the Olympics

  4. Population • Allentown has a population of 119,00 • The Lehigh Valley has a population of 808,000

  5. Transportation • LVIA Airport is small • Newark and Philadelphia- less than 2 hours • New York City airports- les than 3 hours • LANTA provides bus service in Allentown and Bethlehem • Small transportation service • No trains • Access to the PA Turnpike and Interstates

  6. Attractions • Dorney Park • Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs • Lehigh Valley Velodrome • J. Birny Crum Stadium • A hockey stadium is being planned- could it be something else first?

  7. Climate • The average climate in August is warm • The temperature average (Wunderground) is in the upper 70’s or lower 80’s • Sometimes it can be cold in the summer • Sometimes it can be close to 100 degrees • August is usually good for swimming and outdoor activities

  8. Allentown 2024 The “city without limits” can provide an Olympics with no limits!
