  2. semester I was so excited that I got all A’s both semesters, or both halves of,this year at school!

  3. origin This book will help us learn about the origins of the words we are studying so that we know the history of the words we use.

  4. etymological The new app I put on my phone gives theetymological history of names and how they have changed and developed. This one shows the etymology of the name George.

  5. unparalleled The beauty of the coral reefs in Fiji is unparalleled to anything I’ve ever seen underwater!

  6. fluorescent The fluorescent lights in our classroom are really bright so we can all see, but sometimes they hurt my eyes.

  7. cranked I think this kid’s energy level got cranked up a little too high. He looks like he is going to explode!

  8. jumble I only asked for one pen, but instead I got of jumble of pens dumped on my desk.

  9. crumpled She was having a hard time writing her report and crumpled up her paper every time she changed her mind about what to write.

  10. concentration Winning at the game of Jenga takes a lot of concentration and focus. If you lose concentration or look away, you’ll make the blocks fall.

  11. oath If you ever have to be a witness at a trial in court, you have to take an oath that you will tell the truth and nothing but the truth.
