A new Living way 3. Walking in victory. I John 5:4,5. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

  2. I John 5:4,5. • For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

  3. I. It is god’s desire that we would walk in victory. • Genesis 1.26-28 • Mathew 16.19 • 2 Cor.2:14. • Rom.8:37. • Revelation 1.6

  4. II. What is a defeated life? • A life without fruit. John 15:8. • A life without power. Acts 1:8. • A life without a positive influence.

  5. A life dominated by the flesh. • A life directed at times by Satan. • I Peter 5:8,9.James 4:7. • A life dictated by the world. • I John 2:15.

  6. III. How we overcome? • 1. We overcome by believing the promises of god • Romans 10.17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

  7. What about these promises? • 1. Made by One who cannot lie. Titus 1:2. • 2. Change not. Hebrews 13.8 • 3. Cover every situation.

  8. Faith is believing in god what he promise he will do.

  9. 2. We overcome by the power of god • Apart from Me, you can do nothing. • John. 15:5.

  10. 3. We overcome by the blood of the lamb • Revelation12.11 ; 1 Peter 1.18-19

  11. How do you cover yourself with the blood? • Know it • Believe it. Romans 3.23-25 • Confess it – speak it.

  12. 4. We overcome by the word of our testimony • Revelation 12.11

  13. IV. Benefits of being an over comer.. • Eat of the tree of life -Rev 2:7 • Not be hurt by the second death Rev 2:11 • Will be given some of the hidden manna. Rev 2:17 • Authority over the nations just as Jesus has received authority.

  14. Shall be clothed in white. Be made a pillar in the temple of God, and will remain there. • Rev 3:12 • Granted the right to sit with Christ in His throne, just as He overcame and sat down with His Father in His throne • Rev 3:21.

  15. V. The Road to Spiritual Freedom & Victory • Renounce 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 • Release Ephesians 4:26- • Renew Romans 12.2 • Recall 2 Corinthians 2:10-11

  16. Believe god’s desire for you to be victorious • Take god’s word serious • Call sin as sin.
