What is AWY? • Has supported local coalitions in their prevention and youth development work since 1999 • Is funded by a percentage of income generated by payments for drug offense citations in each county • Is divided into five Regional Prevention Centers--Southeastern, Northern, Northeastern, Southern and Western Body Level One

  4. About AWY Southeast Region • Includes 13 member coalitions in Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha Counties • Jewish Family Services acts as fiscal sponsor • The Planning Council for Health and Human Services provides facilitation and planning Body Level One

AWY-SE SBIRT Grant • April 1, 2012 – March 31, 2013 • Wisconsin Partnership Program (University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health) • $50,000 grant to develop the SBIRT model in southeastern Wisconsin for teens • If successful, will apply for a $300,000 implementation grant in spring 2013 Body Level One
