Provide baseline information about how resources are being used Determine the amount of energy consumed by lights and appliances • An evaluation or survey? • A lighting audit is a survey of lighting use • An appliance audit is a survey of appliance use

GOALS OF THE AUDIT • Determine the percentage of your building’s electrical consumption that is used by lights • Determine the percentage of your building’s electrical consumption that is used by appliances • Identify areas for improvement • Raise awareness about energy consumption, conservation and efficiency!
