What is an RGB -Is a national secretary that also has a European focus -Assists the GBC of his area -A person who looks at the interests of the country and not just his local project -Looks at the interests of Europe -Represents country to Euro RGB
What do they do • Help the GBC of their area • Sets a good standard • Helps countries cooperate together • Helps Europe cooperate together • Represents their area to the RGB body • Helps the projects in their area with inspiration, guidance, supervision and governance
Qualifications • Have some success in their projects • Have good demonstrable practices • Know how to inspire • Cooperation • Work under the authority of others • Can look beyond their own project
Training • Presently no formal training. • Experience from other roles. Deep end • Perhaps we need an RGB course (we don’t have one for TP’s at present, or GBC’s, we recently started one for Gurus) • Perhaps there should be annual or regular on going training
Funding • Presently Zero • Self funding • Own work • Preaching • Work (self employed or employed) • Inheritance • From country • Costs • Travel (temple taxis, flights) • Computer • Phone
A thought • When SrilaPrabhupada established the GBC there were 12 GBC’s and 36 temples • This is a starting ratio of 1 GBC to 3 temples • How many projects can be properly overseen by one person?
