  2. LAST WEEK UPCOMING EVENTS THANKSGIVING DINNER FOR SENIORS Congratulations! GOLF TOURNAMENT REPORT Our annual delicious Thanksgiving dinner for Seniors was held on NOV. 18TH at Jacksonville Beach Senior Center. Members of Kiwanis, Circle K and Key Club helped set tables, seat guests, and serve dinner. It was a great success, and enjoyed by all. It was sponsored by Watson and Osborne, hosted by Burt Van Wagner, decorations and planning by Joan Van Wagner, and the blessing given by Al Russ. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Corky Borders 12/4 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! None DATE JOINED Bill Wilson 12/1/72 The 3rd Annual Golf Tournament will be held December 5th at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. Volunteers should be at JGCC no later than 10:30am.  Registration will start at 10 AM and the Tee off time is 11 AM. Please coordinate all volunteers through John Bates. We have 12 Foursomes booked for the Golf Tournament, and hope to beat our minimum of 15.  We have 33 hole sponsors and $3,000 from 4 major sponsors.  We still need more gift certificates for raffle drawings.  We have Keith Watson with Watson Osborne as a principal sponsor. He is providing an additional $500 gift to be used to sell separate tickets to win a 'closest to the hole‘ on par 3, hole #6, which will add one more fun event.   Additional sponsors include Stewart Title, Dr. Daniel Schelhause and Oceanside Bank.  The tie-in with The Boys and Girls Club is proving to be a big plus.  The First Tee with Calvin Peete and his wife Pepper might just be the frosting on the cake. What you are is what you have been, and what you will be is what you do now. The dimples usually number between 330 and 500 but why do we need them? Nov. 17th Speaker George E. Korbe is a business consultant from Apple Computer, Inc. from the St. John’s Town Center. He spoke on “Using Macintosh At Home & In The Office”.www.apple.com/retail/stjohnstowncenter The dimpled balls overall cause the least disruption of the air giving them a smaller pressure drag and making them able to travel further.
