  2. Timeless Wisdom

  3. New Testament in One Paragraph He Lived. He Died. He’s Coming Back. …And, He’s Not Happy

  4. History of Jerusalem Ignore the Prophets- Disobedience Kill the Prophets, Ignore the Poor Jerusalem Destroyed by Babylonians, 586 BC Those who ignore history do so at their peril… Ignore the Prophets- Disobedience Kill the Prophets, Ignore the Poor Jerusalem Destroyed by The Romans, 70 AD Today. Are We Ignoring the Prophets? What’s Next?

  5. Matt. 24 (JST) 24 And it came to pass that I beheld others pressing forward, and they came forth and caught hold of the end of the rod of iron; and they did press forward through the mist of darkness, clinging to the rod of iron, even until they did come forth and partake of the fruit of the tree. 25 And after they had partaken of the fruit of the tree they did cast their eyes about as if they were ashamed. And Jesus left them, and went upon the Mount of Olives. And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be which thou hast said concerning the destruction of the temple, and the Jews; and what is the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world, or the destruction of the wicked, which is the end of the world? And Jesus answered, and said unto them: Take heed that no man deceive you; For many shall come in my name, saying—I am Christ—and shall deceive many; Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations, for my name's sake; And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another; And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many; And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold; But he that remaineth steadfast and is not overcome, the same shall be saved. When you, therefore, shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, concerning the destruction of Jerusalem, then you shall stand in the holy place; whoso readeth let him understand. When is He talking about? Who is He talking about? Who would be offended?

  6. Question Stand Ye in Holy Places… Where are these Holy Places? Does it matter where we stand as long as we keep the commandments? Why would we stand anywhere else?

  7. While we are standing… Verily I say unto you all [of the Church]: Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations; and that the gathering together upon the land of Zion, and upon her stakes, may be for a defense, and for a refuge from the storm, and from wrath when it shall be poured out without mixture upon the whole earth." (D&C 115:5-6.) "Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord." (D&C 87:8) We are to Stand in Holy Places, but, we are not to stand around!

  8. Elder Eyring A morning prayer and an early search in the scriptures to know what we should do for the Lord can set the course of a day. We can know which task, of all those we might choose, matters most to Godand therefore to us. I have learned such a prayer is always answered if we ask and ponder with childlike submission, ready to act without delay to perform even the most humble service. (April 2007 General Conference.)

  9. What would prepare us the most? Scanning the headlines? Or scanning our heart? Watching for Signs of the Times? Or watching for Sins? Fearing Armageddon? Anticipating Adam Ondi Ahman? Ignoring the Prophet in order to ‘fit in’? Obeying the Prophet in order to ‘stand out’?

  10. Robert L. Millet To read the signs of the times in our day is to read the signs of wear and tear in the countenances of those who have chosen to love…questionable causes. Error and wickedness take their terrible tolls upon the hearts of those who choose divergent paths; the wheels of waywardness grind away slowly but inexorably to produce a type of demented character that will never know peace of mind. To read the signs of the times in this era of time is to make a decision in favor of Zion…or in favor of Babylon…Each city, Zion and Babylon, makes definite requirements of its citizens, and as the end approaches, each community will insist upon the total devotion and consecration of its municipals. To read the signs is to recognize that in the future fewer and fewer Latter Day Saints will be “lukewarm”; that the myopic and the misguided of the religious world will grow in cynicism and confusion; that the ungodly will, as time goes by, sink ever deeper into a despair known only to those who revel in iniquity; and that wickedness will widen and malevolence multiply until the citizens of Babylon seal themselves to him who is the father of all lies. (Eye Single to the Glory of God, p. 102)

  11. Signs of the Times The Signs of the Times are found in our faces each time a weary world sees something “different” in us. The Signs of the Times are found in the lives of Saints trimming their lamps in preparation for the coming of the Bridegroom. Finally, Signs of the Times are found in hearts filled with hope who view the fig leaves with growing anticipation and joy.
