Objectives

  • The broad purpose of the five-year (2003-08) pilot program is to support and develop excellence in research in artistic disciplines. An artistic discipline is defined as one or more of the following categories: architecture, design (including interior design), creative writing, visual arts (including ceramics, textiles, etc.), performing arts (dance, music, theatre), film, video, performance art, interdisciplinary arts, media and electronic arts, and new artistic practices

- 60% research achievement

- 40% proposed program of research

NEW SCHOLAR

- 60/40 split (most favourable score between research record and proposed program of research)

TEAMS

- Single score for research achievement (based on individual achievements of team members – weighting determined by P.I. status )

MINIMUM SCORE

- At least 60% in both categories
