Regulatory Role: Site and Plans Review and Approval

    • Education Code Section 17251
      • Develop standards for school sites and plans
    • Standards in California Code of Regulations, Title 5 (Title 5)
    • All public school sites & plans regardless of funding source must meet Title 5
    • If state funds requested, California Department of Education (CDE) approval required

    • District monitors progress of project
    • DTSC involvement if applicable
  • Annual Expenditure Reports
    • Reports to OPSC/SAB on progress of construction project

    • All certifications and warranties delivered from contractor
    • Equipment commissioned, tested and training complete
    • Waivers received to ensure payment not made twice by district
