  2. 2 PARTS IN THE PROJECT • Part 1.- the plan to be handed in week • Beginning 14th April = to 5 marks. • Part 2 - the classroom part to be done in 2 hours in class – week beginning 21st = 10 marks. • Total marks for the project = 15%.

  3. The Plan • 1.Choose a diagram –system of the body- Eg. the internet, a text book. • 2.List of medical terms for the system • that you have chosen. • 3.Make a table for the Word Analysis.

  4. The plan part 1 of the project • 4. An activity or idea to use to present • the medical terminology to the class. • 5.A short paragraph about the function of the system in your own words

  5. The plan • References -the website ( diagram ) • - book reference. • - Chabner book reference and pages you used for the medical terms. • - references that you use to make the paragrah in your own words. (lesson about citing a basic reference to follow) .

  6. The SYSTEM • 1.Choose one system of the body from the following: • respiratory system, urinary system, endocrine system, nervous system, sense and sense organ system, lymphatic system, female reproductive system, muscular system, skeletal system.

  7. Diagram • A diagram, or drawing OR • system outline, OR • draw the parts of the • system seperately • OR make it 3D style!!! • ADD if you want some interesting information eg. Photographs of the organs in the system

  8. THE CLASSROOM PART OF THE PROJECT • . Put on the poster, ie white or coloured poster paper • -- diagram of the system, • -- the list of medical terms • --the analysis of these medical terms, • --the description of the activity or idea you will use to present the medical terminology to the class.

  9. POSTER PART 2 OF PROJECT • --a short paragraph on the function of the system • --the references for diagram, Chabner and short paragraph • --interesting information, facts figures photos, but all must be referenced

  10. Labelling and Medical terms • Label the diagram in large easy to read writing • You will not have the book for this part. You must memorise the names of the parts of the system and spell them correctly.

  11. Word analysis • See word analysis table. On pdf. Word Analysis.

  12. Marking • On the sheet you are given for the plan you will find the method for marking • For theclassroom part you will receive a sheet with instructions and a break down of the marks . This will be on the day of the classroom part 2 This part will be scheduled as a midterm 2 so that other exams are not on the day of your project.

  13. PLAGERISM=COPYING • Any kind of plagerism (copying or getting someone to do it for you) is penalised with a zero. Copying = 0%

  15. Your medical poster presentation • The design should be laid out in sections and should be • easy and quick to read. • It should look scientific that is no other frills ..The reader therefore is not distracted
