  9. Registration Process REGISTRATION PROCESS 1. Obtain a NERC acronym – Once an acronym is obtained proceed to step (Takes approximately 1 to 2 Days). 2. Register Company with OATI, Email Company Registration form to OATI. Once OATI verifies your company is registered proceed to step 3. 3. Obtain OATI’s security certificate Registration – Contact OATI to start the registration process. When a security certificate is obtained proceed to step 4. 4. Register with OATI as an OASIS user – Email user registration form to OATI. When user account is activated proceed to step 5. 5. Contact Western to activate you as a valid customer – Western will verify if customer is eligible to purchase transmission. Customer will be notified if they met eligibility requirements.
