  2. School arboretum The aims of our project: 1/ To make our students think about the place where they live 2/ To support their positive attitude to the nature 3/ To keep the diversity of the trees 4/ To keep the psychohygiene of students and teachers

  3. THE DESCRIPTION OF OUR ACTIVITIES • To determine all the trees and plants in our school area. • To make and place the foils on the plants. • To complete the herbal • To publisize the project. • To plant all the trees and share the responsibility among the classes of our school.

  4. Activity Nr. 1 We determined, labelled and ordered the coniferous and broadleaved species in our school area systematicaly. We were helped by our Biology teachers and we used some accessible books.

  5. Activity Nr. 2 We labelled all the trees in our school area

  6. Activity Nr.3 We made the herbal and each item was foilled in order to protect it from the weather.

  7. Activity Nr.4 The Local TV was informed about this project, too. Our Computer Study teachers helped us to make CD, which shows the photoes of the trees and some useful information about them. CD will be also used as a didactic devise to teach Biology and Ecology. It will be distributed to other schools in our region. The information about our project is also on our web-site.

  8. Activity Nr.5 Each plant was labelled and named by its generic and specific name. The students of eight-year grammar school are responsible for these plants. We will take care about these trees when this project is over, too.

  41. We were interested in the bird models /taxyderm/ the most.

  42. There was an exibition of birds feeders in our school. They were made by our students.
