  2. WE MAKE FUNDRAISING EASY! There’s nothing to sell, and it’s hassle free! Fundraising can be done entirely online with one of our personalized fundraising pages, with collection envelopes, or a combination of both. and/or Build your own Soles4Souls fundraising page at soles4souls.org/fundraising Collect funds directly from family, friends, neighbors, church, etc.
  3. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS… 40% of the funds raised, go directly to your organization. 60% of the funds go to Soles4Souls to help distribute shoes to people all over the world. and Raise money for your organization Provide relief for those in need around the world.
  4. WHY SHOES? 1.2 billion people live in extreme poverty. 400 million are children. Many have never owned a pair of shoes. We help children suffering from the terrible ramifications of walking without good shoes, or even barefoot. Including illness from soil parasites and the inability to attend school. The shoes your organization sponsor will help those in need walk towards a brighter future.
  5. $1= 1 PAIR. $1= A LIFE CHANGED. For every dollar raised, Soles4Souls is able to distribute 1 pair of shoes. Since 2006, Soles4Souls has distributed 21 million pairs of shoes all around the world.
  6. SOME OF OUR FAVORITE FEET! Fritz is 8 yrs old and lives in an orphanage in Haiti. He has 2 sisters and 1 brother who live at the orphanage as well. Before he was very neglected, but is now going to school and is well loved. His shoes ensure that he will be able to attend school. He told us at a distribution that he loves his shoes because they protect his feet! Maria is the youngest of 5 children who live in a very rural part of Wisconsin. She isn’t old enough to realize what an exceptional treat a brand new pair of shoes are for her, but her mother is extremely thankful. Outfitting 5 growing children with shoes each year (sometimes more than once per year when growth spurts happen) is extremely overwhelming for Maria’s parents. Maria was excited to get her new shoes so that she could feel like she was old enough to go to school, too, and therefore feel “special”. Her mother added “we all need to feel special once in awhile.”
  7. IT’S MORE THAN MONEY… Students will learn valuable life lessons…AND HAVE FUN! An opportunity to expand awareness of global need. Develop a sense of social responsibility. Impact lives across the globe. Giving feels good! and Collect and save funds. Donate funds to our mission: Wearing Out Poverty™
  8. LET’S GET STARTED! Decide on the dates for your fundraiser (you must run the program for a minimum of two weeks) and register your fundraiser at soles4souls.org/fundraising. Fill out the Soles4Souls Fundraiser Sign-Up Forms (pages 9-10) and send them to meredithh@soles4souls.org or fax to (615) 391-5730, at least two weeks prior to your start date. Get your students excited and involved! Their level of investment will determine the success of your fundraiser. Show videos from our website, make banners, decorate collection jars, and write letters to friends and family. Spread the word! Put an announcement in your school newsletter, bulletin or on your website.
  9. HOW TO WRAP UP… Establish a collection point and contact person for the envelopes and funds. Verify that the total in each envelope matches the total recorded on the front. Have participants write the code for their prize choices (A1, A2, etc.) in the Prize Choice box. If possible, convert any cash into a check made out to Soles4Souls.* Return the envelopes and funds to Soles4Souls within two weeks of the end of your fundraiser, using the most cost-effective shipping method for your school. Soles4Souls will send your school a check for 40% of the total collected. Within 30 days of receipt, Soles4Souls will issue a receipt and acknowledgement to each individual donor recognizing their donation.** *Please contact our office if your organization’s policy on handling funds differs from our standard policy. **Soles4Souls is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are eligible for tax advantages.
