  3. Why? • Modern trends according to Bologna process and Lisbon declaration and according to the needs of community • Establishing the standards, procedures and quality of LLL • Introducing innovations into LLL • Support and promotion of LLL

Target groups: • Interested to achieve profession as adults • Interested to achieve new knowledge inside • the existing profession • Interested to achieve another profession • Interested to recognize their earlier • achievedknowledge and experience • Interested for new knowledge at personal level • Wide interested public, regardless of age

  5. Types of program: • Studies parallel with working • Postgraduate specialist expert studies • Programs of expert perfecting • Public lectures • Workshops • Other

  6. Organizing • At the University level • Board for LLL • Office/service/person in charge to support LLL system • At the Faculty level • Responsible persons (vice-dean, head of the program) • Student service/service for LLL

  7. Income • Earn at market(tuition and reimbursement for attendance) • Sponsors, partners, donations • Other funds

  12. Workshops • Usually one day • Organized at the Faculty or at the partners • Often performed by guest lecturers and professors from abroad • Organized by Faculty and 5 Departments out of 28

Departments that organized workshops: • Faculty in cooperation with Croatian agricultural advisory service and financed by USA embassy (1 X) • Department of Animal Nutrition (23 X) • Department of Agricultural Marketing (2 X) • Department of Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biometrics (1 X) • Department of Agricultural Zoology (1 X) • Department of Plant Pathology (1 X)

Summer schools • “Climate change and natural resource management” • Organized in cooperation with 7 foreign universities (8 foreign professors) • and financed by CEI UNIVERSITY NETWORK, CASEE • Attendants: 30 graduate and postgradute students • 4 ECTS • June 18th-23rd 2012 • “Livestock Conservation Genomics: Data, Tools and Trends” (2 domestic and 12 foreign professors) • Organized by Departmetnt of animal science and BOKU, Vienna, Austria • Financed by European Science Fundation (ESF) - GENOMIC RESOURCES SUMMER SCHOOL • Attendants: 19 postgraduate students (12 foreign) and 12 postdoctorals (9 foreign) • October 1st-7th 2012 • Pag island • “School for vine tasters” • Organized by Department of Viticulture and Enology • „Courses for beekeepers” • Organized by Department of Fisheries, Beekeeping, • Game Management and Special Zoology in cooperation • with middle school • 3-4 times per year • Certificate recognized for job

Other • Department of Dairy Science – The Reference Laboratory for milk and milk products • Educations for one person (13 X for Bosnia and Herzegovina and 1 X for Croatia) • Department of Agricultural Zoology • Informal education for farmers on basics about integrated plant protection (usually for 3-4 communes) • Public lectures • Occasionaly by many professors

  16. Postgraduate specialist expert studies • MBA in Agribusiness • Fisheries • Animal husbandry • Not yet recognized by most employees • Low interest – job in field or hobbyist • Prolonged study by employed attendees usually with families
