Project Scope and Benefits • Collect traffic speed, vehicle counts and traffic occupancy at 142 major arterial locations • Real-time congestion map for District personal to better manage traffic and respond to incidents • Replace antiquated wired loops and keep accuracy • Modernize data collection over IP • Data for planning and engineering • Share data with partner agencies • Automated alerts and maintenance • Integrated with CapTOP
